1. ACCOUNT PICK-UPS
No money will be paid out until 2:00 pm daily: MANY OF YOU ARE ABUSING THIS!!! The reason we started the 2 pm payouts, was because
there were many times that I had multiple consignors walk in requesting payout's right at 11:00 am (before the day had even started). It was hard just getting the
store open because I had a line for payouts. It also gives me a chance to have a few sales before we start paying it out. Remember though...THIS DOES NOT
APPLY TO STORE CREDIT. Store credit can be used any time of the day!
Also, REMEMBER, the daily payout is a privilage! Last year, there were only about a dozen times that I couldn't pay someone on a "non payday". Many of you were
gracious about it, however, there are always a few that have to make a stink. For those people, Remember, paydays are ACTUALLY EVERY OTHER SATURDAY,
and they are always listed on the website. Although I am willing to pay out everyday...I CANNOT GUARANTEE PAYOUTS ON NON PAYDAYS
2. DOUBLE DIPPING
As most of you know, I make money available for pick up everyday. THIS IS A COURTESY! There is not a consignment shop around that lets their consignors pick
up money everyday. Because of this courtesy, I have quite a few people who have gone into the negative. If you picked up $32.50 on Monday, and your account
balance shows 35.75 on Wednesday, I'm SURE that you realize that you've already picked up that amount regardless of what the "Last Update" says. So, use your
common sense and call if your unsure. If the double dipping continues, I will have to enforce the paydays listed on the website on the "my account" page.
3. PHONE CALLS VS. EMAIL
I get phone calls that start out "Hi, I brought in clothes yesterday and I don't see my name on the account." Or..."Did you get a chance to go through my stuff yet?"
And even though I specifically state: "I do not give account balances over the phone." I get..."Can you check my account?" THE BEST WAY TO REACH ME IS VIA
EMAIL. I CHECK MY EMAIL EVERY NIGHT, OR EVERY MORNING!
4. "TURN-A-ROUND" TIME
When the store first opened I the turnaround time was the end of the day or the next day. Because of the fact that I take drop-offs everyday, I sometimes have an
overwhelming amount of clothes to do. We've gotten as far as a week behind before. What many of you don't know is that I know what it's like to need money ASAP.
Trust me, I'm right there with you. Having said that, please know that I go as fast as I can go. So PLEASE, wait a week before you start emailing me.
5. LOST N' FOUND
Okay, so I hate having to make a lost n' found, but I can say it until i'm blue in the face "MAKE SURE YOUR CONSIGNOR NUMBER IS ON YOUR BAGS." We're
accumulating quite a few "no consignor number" bags. Some of you say "Hey....just dropping off." Then I say...."Kay...see you later." I've assumed that your name
was on the bag. Later that day, (or the next) when we go to do your bag, there's no name on it. I'm still trying to work on a lost and found page, so i'll post the details
on the bulletin board when I have more info.
6. MAILING PAYOUTS
I DO NOT MAIL OUT CHECKS! Please DO NOT email me asking to do so. The contract allows someone to be named as an "authorized user" on your account. I
ALWAYS stress that you put someone's name down that way, if you leave on vacation, move, go to jail, or whatever, they can pick up your money and mail it to you. I
have already had several emails asking me to mail checks. First of all I simply am too busy to be running to the post office every other day. The good news is that
your money will be waiting here for you when you get back. Sorry guys. Didn't your mom ever say "If I do it for you, then i'll have to do it for everyone." lol
7. SIGN THE BOARD WHEN DROPPING OFF
When you drop off your items, make sure that you sign your bag in.. By signing your bags in, it helps us stay in order and if someone forgets to put their number on
their bag, it helps us figure out who it is by process of elimination. We will now only be tagging those listed on the board. So basically, if you don't sign in, we're just
gonna keep overlooking your bag.
